FunnelFlux is a self-hosted tracker and will require installation on your own server.
We have a deployment manager that will help you do this on Vultr, with other hosts to be added soon.
With Vultr, you will just need to:
- Top up your account first, e.g. with $10
- Get your API key from the account settings area
- Click "add all IPv4" and IPv6 so that our deployment manager is whitelisted, and can access your account to deploy a server
You can access our deployment manager here, and see the guiding video below:
(note: it's best to first make sure you are logged in here before trying to use the deployment manager)
Regardless of the method you use, you will also need to configure your domain/DNS, we suggest reading this article.
Doing it yourself
Want to install things yourself?
We recommend starting out with a virtual private server (VPS) from either of:
We recommend Vultr for price to performance ratio, and recommend you stick with the 2 vCPU / 4 GB RAM server as a minimum requirement.
Our minimum requirements in more detail are found here.
Now, if you want to streamline the installation process a little bit and do things by hand, in console, you can also user our custom Vultr deployment scripts that automate installation of dependencies and FunnelFlux istallation.
You can find this tutorial here.
Finishing up with DIY
Once you have a server provisioned you can log in and download the latest version of FunnelFlux at https://www.funnelflux.com/access/
Once logged in head to https://www.funnelflux.com/members-dashboard/ where you will find your license keys and a download link with instructions.
Upload the install.php, data.bin and boot.bin files to your server. Then, access install.php via your browser e.g. http://mydomain.com/flux/install.php
Note that you will need to have a local database created and its login credentials to input during the installation.
Once installation is complete you will be able to log in to your tracker via http://mydomain.com/flux/admin (i.e. /admin after wherever your install directory is)
Besides using our deployment manager or scripts to install on Vultr, or handling the installation yourself, you can also ask us to do so for you, ask your managed server provider to do so, or try out our Managed FunnelFlux system.
Asking us to do it
Of course, if you'd like us to do an installation for you, we can certainly do so.
However, note that we won't do this on atypical environments such as those provided by managed server providers -- it's their job to help you with that, not ours, and its not efficient for our tech admins to try and navigate these environments that they don't have control over.
If you have a dedicated server we can also help, but if you have a sys admin they should take point on handling things here.
To keep things simple, we will offer installation assistance on basic VPS from:
This is our managed system offering.
It is more expensive than the self-hosted and scales in cost with volume.
With this product, we set up and manage all the infrastructure - hands free for you, and a higher performance product on the back-end due to our in-depth knowledge of how to make the product function as efficiently as possible.
It's not just a single server, but rather many servers that separate app functionality, load balancing, etc.
Definitely a good option if you don't want to deal with servers and just want a high performance product, that is also cheap vs competitor options.
You may have a managed hosting provider such as Beyond Hosting, StormOnDemand, LiquidWeb, WiredTree, etc.
If using these providers you likely have cPanel, where you can configure new domains, databases and so on.
In this case you can just create the FunnelFlux databases and upload the installation files by FTP.
However, we cannot guarantee that the server environment will have all the required dependencies, packages etc. to run FunnelFlux.
Thus, it is best if you ask your managed provider to assist - many of them will be familiar with FunnelFlux, and you can point them to our minimum requirement documents for further information.
