Here is some information about the different redirect types in FunnelFlux:
- The 301 and 307 redirects can be used interchangeably. The only difference between them is that 301 passes the SEO link power to the target page while the 307 does not.
In other words, one is "I'm permanent, follow me" (301) and one is "I'm temporary, don't index me as I'll change" (307). So, if you are posting your campaign links on different sites and you want those links to send their power to your landers/offers, then select 301.
- The Ultimate Meta Refresh is used when you want to hide referrers on your outgoing traffic. Let’s imagine that you’re promoting an affiliate offer and that you have found a traffic source that converts very well for this offer. If you use a regular redirect, the vendor of that offer will be able to see in their analytics where the traffic is coming from.
Some vendors will not hesitate to remove you as the affiliate and advertise at the traffic source you have found directly, to get higher profits (no commission to pay to you equals more profit for them). If you use an "Ultimate Meta Refresh", though, the referrer will be hidden from their analytics, keeping your traffic source far away from his eyes.
It also allows you to hide your landers if you are not direct linking. This redirect type is slower than 301/307 but faster than the double meta refresh used by other trackers, so use it only if you really need to hide the referrer.
- The “Fluxify this Page” redirect option is to be used when you want to take control of the target page.
